2018 Jerry Hunt Supercenter Car Giveaway

Community Investment Car Giveaway Eligibility

1. Individual must pledge their CARING SHARE (1 hour’s pay per month or .6% of annual salary) for 12 months.

2. Individual must contribute to the United Way of Davidson County Community Investment Fund.

3. Individual must complete the Jerry Hunt Supercenter Community Investment Car Giveaway Entry Form.  All rules are outlined on the form.

4. United Way of Davidson County reserves the right to redirect designated gifts to the Community Investment Fund for anyone that enters into the car giveaway.

Requirements for the winners: All winners are required to pay all applicable taxes for prizes won.  The winner of the car will be required to pay title, and registration fees relating to the transaction and must pay his/her pledge in full to United Way of Davidson County. Prior to taking possession of the vehicle, the winner must obtain a valid driver's license and be able to provide valid proof of auto insurance to United Way and Jerry Hunt Supercenter. All finalists grant the United Way of Davidson County and Jerry Hunt Supercenter the use of his/her name and photograph in all communication and publicity materials.

 

How to win...
To qualify for the automobile giveaway, you must make a minimum donation of a caring share gift (.6% of salary or 1 hour's pay per month or more) to United Way's Community Investment Fund.

What is the grand prize?
One lucky person will win a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu provided by Jerry Hunt Supercenter.

Who is eligible? Any U.S. resident who is 18 years or older and makes a contribution of a caring share gift (.6% of salary or 1 hours pay per month or more) to
United Way of Davidson County's 2018 Community Investment Fund.  The drawing is limited to one entry per person.  United Way reserves the right to determine the validity of all entries.

Who is not eligible?  United Way of Davidson County staff, board members, their immediate families, and employees of the independent accounting firm that verifies and supervises the entries and drawings.

How does the drawing work?  United Way of Davidson County will hold three Campaign Report Meetings where finalists will be drawn.  All entries must be received 24 hours prior to the Campaign Report Meetings to be eligible for that drawing.  Three finalists will be drawn on September 28, 2018, an additional three finalists will be drawn on October 30, 2018, and the final four finalists will be drawn on November 29, 2018.  All entries will remain eligible unless drawn.  Each of the finalists will be notified via telephone that he or she has qualified for the drawing, and will be invited to participate in the car giveaway event on December 18, 2018 at Jerry Hunt Supercenter, where a single winner will win a vehicle.  All finalists must be present at the car giveaway event.

Who oversees the drawing?  An independent accounting firm will verify and supervise the entries and drawings.

What will happen at the car giveaway event? Each of the finalists must attend the event.  Each finalist will have one entry into the grand drawing.  The last name to be drawn among the ten finalists will win the car.
