Are you interested in volunteering and giving back to your community? The United Way is an expert in bringing our community together. We have a variety of ways that you can volunteer! See below to get connected!
Fund Distribution Volunteer
What is a FD Volunteer? Fund Distribution volunteers are responsible for reviewing, evaluating and ultimately making funding decisions for agencies who apply for United Way Funding. Volunteers are trained in October and assigned to a panel. Each panel is assigned 2-3 agencies. They review each agency application and come together in December to hear agency presentations. Funding recommendations are made and presented to the United Way Board of Directors for final approval. This process is eye-opening and allows volunteers to see the impact United Way and their partner agencies has in our community. Email info@uwdavidson.org for more information about this opportunity.
Day of Caring
What is the Day of Caring? United Way coordinates the largest community-wide volunteer event in May each year. UW solicits non-profits in Davidson County for work projects such as; landscaping, cleaning, painting as well as collection projects such as; food drives & personal hygiene drives. We then reach out to local companies/businesses to match them with those projects! What a wonderful way to give back! Email April Rich to find out how your company can get involved!
