The United Way of Davidson County serves Davidson County with the mission to bring together community resources to identify and meet the human service needs in Davidson County through responsible leadership. UWDC does this in many ways: through funding quality of life, health and human service programs, through community development services, and through building and sustaining partnerships and other collaborative initiatives. We work to bridge people and resources so individuals, families, and communities thrive in Davidson County.

The United Way of Davidson County Foundation was founded in 2007. The purpose of the Impact Fund is to allow the United Way to work smarter, with more efficiency, insight and compassion. The United Way must be able to fund existing needs an also consider emerging needs. The Impact Fund will provide resources to reach beyond the annual campaign partners to learn about and invest in new ways to enhance our community impact.
Focus areas for the Impact Fund fall into three areas:
INNOVATION GRANTS - Provide innovation grants to fund important human service initiatives in Davidson County.
EMERGENCY FUNDING - Respond to community emergencies and emerging community needs. The next time a crisis hits the community, whether another pandemic or tornado damage, the Impact Fund will allow United Way to respond quickly and meaningfully.
COMMUNITY RESILIENCY - Enhance long-term financial stability for the organization. The Impact Fund will provide financial flexibility and security to help meet operating needs, thereby maximizing the annual fundraising dollars available for distribution to community programs.
